Connect the Dots uses a proprietary data-driven, co-creation process to strategically design and deliver customised events, consultation processes, workshops and the like. To do this, Connect the Dots gathers and analyses insights from participants in order to design and tailor the event, next step in a consultation process, or workshop to make it as engaging and meaningful - and impactful as possible.
This policy is meant to help you understand what data we collect, why we collect it, and what we do with it. This is important; we hope you will take time to read this carefully. As you experience our services, we want you to be clear how we’re using information and the ways in which you can protect your privacy.
1.0 Information we collect:
We collect information and insights before, during, and after a consultation process to provide a better experience and results for all of our users and client - from data about your background and interest in the project - in this case, your participation will feed into an exploratory process and idea-generating exercise with the view to actionable next steps taken by the MInister Denis Naughten.
2.0 Information you give us
-We asked you to answer a number of key questions as part of this process - around your current use of various assets in Ballinasloe, your perspective and priorities for the development of the area, what you feel might be missing in the area, and what you would like to see happen at St Brigid’s.
-Depending on if you gave your consent in the survey, we also have personal information of your email address which we will keep confidential and will only be potentially used to invite you to participate in next steps of the process
-The information which you share today will be used to form an overall report and next steps for the reimagination of St Brigid’s and will not be attributed to individual people.
-Regarding Information we get from your use of our services, we will ask for your explicit consent in terms of sharing it with any third parties; if you do not give your consent, we do not share your information.
3.0 How we use information we collect:
We use the information we collect from you as part of our exploratory process to allow you to have your say in a public matter.
We use the information you share in a variety of ways, depending on the project and its strategic purpose - from collating the data into a report to impact policy, to analysing insights about attendees to help companies with recruitment, sales, or communications strategies to providing information to attendees and a way to stay connected.
In this case the data will be used as a first initial step in understanding the sentiment and needs that the people that work, live and visit Ballinasloe identify as a top priority - and feed that into the next steps towards the potential reimagining of St Brigid’s.
We use Google Docs and Google Sheets as well as Microsoft excel to store your data. We have all google documents and Microsoft Excel’s that hold any personal data password protected. Once we have used the information you give us to form the next step of the exploratory process, we will anonymise it before any further processing takes place.
4.0 How you can find out which information we hold about you

WHAT - Catalyst 4.0 is the fourth and final installment in 2018 of Dublin's fast-growing event series that brings together people that work on (or want to work on!) & people that support social enterprises all in one room - to share learnings, collaborate, and innovate. This is a potluck event (BYO-dish), with beers kindly sponsored by O’Hara’s Irish Craft Beer.
WHO - The series is hosted by Community Finance Ireland, with supporting partners of SEDco, Ashoka, Social Entrepreneurs Ireland, Social Innovation Fund Ireland, and Social Enterprise Network. The event is designed by Connect the Dots’ and their co-creation process.
WHEN & WHERE - This event is kindly being hosted by Dogpatch Labs (in the beautiful garden upstairs) located at the CHQ. Arrival from 6:00pm, with the event kicking off at 6:30 on the dot.
HOW - We are giving you the chance to co-create the event - to shape the agenda and ensure that the event is as valuable to you as possible. Answering this survey will serve as your registration to the event
